  1. I thought I can give lots of myself when I went to Siem Reap. And yet, without knowing, I have received so much from there.
I thought I can give lots of love to the people especially the children, and yet the love I have received is beyond my imagination.
    I surrender!
It was a very intimate journey with God during my July 2007 trip to Siem Reap.

Dear Siem Reap church community, you are such a warm and wonderful people. You’ve showed me the way to love in simplicity and I want to tell you that I will see you very soon!!

  2. Dear Fr Heri, Fr Manoj, and Sr Louise,

My recent trip to Siem Reap in December, with students from Sydney Australia, was a most unforgettable experience. I thank you so much for the opportunity to experience first hand the beautiful people of Siem Reap, the children in the villages, and the enthusiam of the CVCD volunteers. We came hoping to learn, give and experience life in Cambodia. You were most generous with your time in helping to educate us by your own example of love and service to others. I certainly feel more enriched and blessed since having visited your country. Thank you.
I look forward to returning some day soon.

  3. A trip to any 3rd world country is always “what can I do for the poor abandoned people there”. A return from any such trip is always “the joy of giving is nothing compared to the joy of receiving”.
To have such an encounter with the people of Cambodia is indeed heartwarming. To have done my part for them has humbled me. To have received so much from them is a great joy that no money or material things can give me at all.
Thanks be to God for His great hands at work!
